I've always wished we had Fall here in the Philippines. I just love the warm and earthy tones of this season; the transitioning colors of leaves from yellow to orange to red to brown. I can actually imagine myself lying down in a pile of fallen leaves lol Plus, the weather is starting to get cooler so you can finally wear those sweaters that you've been hiding in your closet hihi With that, I asked a few local bloggers, Therese of Outtakes and Takeouts, Leica of The Walcott and Cher of Style by Cher, what their Fall essentials would be. Of course, I chose mine too hihi
Japan Days 4 & 5 (Kyoto & Osaka): 04/04-05/14
Sunday, May 18, 2014
Finally, I found time to blog again about our Japan trip last April. I just started working at Globe Telecom as a copywriter so I've been really busy lately. I decided to combine everything in this post instead since we didn't do much during our last 2 days.
Japan Day 3 (Kyoto): 04/03/14
Wednesday, April 23, 2014
This was probably the busiest day during our trip since there was just so much to be explored in the Eastern part of Kyoto. From Kyoto Station, we bought a one-day bus pass for 500 yen since most sites we wanted to visit were accessible via bus. I was really hoping to discover weird flavors of KitKat, but surprisingly, I didn't see that much. Too bad the KitKat store is only in Tokyo since I was hoping to find strange flavors like wasabi or soy sauce. We only saw matcha (Green tea), cinnamon and hojicha (Roasted green tea) flavors in Kyoto Station. I've never tried the hojicha flavor before, but it was quite good! The matcha flavor is only Ok for me since I prefer the sakura matcha (Cherry blossom) more, while the cinnamon wasn't really my cup of tea since first and foremost, I'm not a fan of cinnamon lol
Japan Day 2 (Kyoto & Osaka): 04/02/14
Sunday, April 20, 2014
Our second day was jam-packed so we started early! My morning consisted of a green tea and white chocolate muffin, and the latest Nylon Japan magazine that I bought the previous day. Every day, we would get on the 8:30 shuttle to the airport, and then ride the JR-West rapid train to Kyoto. We would be in Kyoto around 10. If we were friends, you probably know that I don't dress normally, and I strongly believe that I was a Harajuku girl in the past life lol I'm so happy I was able to wear my bones leggings and Magikarp hat without people staring at me weirdly HAHAHA! Of course I took the opportunity to wear this amazing piece created by my talented friend, Bex in the "Land of Pokemon" hihi
Japan Day 1 (Osaka): 04/01/14
Monday, April 14, 2014
It's apparent that I only blog when I've been on a trip, and for that, I apologize. I just really love traveling more than anything in the world (Ok, maybe food and travel are equal lol), and nothing makes me happier than discovering new places. Last April 1-5, we had our first family trip of the year to Japan. We've already been to Tokyo so we explored Osaka and Kyoto this time. Unfortunately, my sister who currently resides in Singapore, couldn't come with us since she had her own trip to Tokyo with her boyfriend, Brian. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon (Japan is ahead by an hour).
7107 International Music Festival Day 2: 02/23/14
Sunday, March 2, 2014
The second day of the festival was epic! No wonder there were much more people who came that day. The main stage was already packed when we arrived late in the afternoon. I didn't really have photos during the day since most of the performances I wanted to watch were scheduled at night. We arrived around 4:30 PM, just in time to catch Red Jumpsuit Apparatus since my high school self wanted to sing "My Guardian Angel" with so much passion (Especially the "Use me as you will..." part lol).
Singapore Days 4 & 5: 01/26-27/14
Sunday, February 16, 2014
I can't believe I'm blogging about my last 2 days in Singapore. It makes me feel so nostalgic, and I can't wait to go back already. For me, Sunday is family time so I'm glad I got to spend the day with my sister and cousin. Trina brought us to PasarBella for lunch. It's a farmers' market in The Grandstand, Bukit Timah. It was a breath of fresh air since the place was surrounded by lush greenery. If you want a break from the bustling city, this is absolutely the place to go to.
Singapore Day 3 (Part II): 01/25/14
Friday, February 14, 2014
As mentioned in the previous post, the night performances were my favorites. I guess they were really saving the best for last since more people started moving to the front.
Singapore Day 3 (Part I): 01/25/14
Monday, February 10, 2014
It's been awhile since I've posted, sorry about that. I've been busy with job hunting last week since there was a job fair at school. Also, I've been fixing the itinerary for our next family trip. So excited! I hope it pushes through. Anyway, I decided to make day 3 into 2 parts since I have so many photos!
