Hong Kong pt. ii

Thursday, October 29, 2015

During our second day in Hong Kong, we just spent it in Disneyland. I don't even remember when's the last time I went to a Disneyland theme park, but it must have been forever! I've only been to the one in California when I was still young. I don't remember much, just that I was still in a stroller that time (So you're probably guessing how long ago that was already...). And to be honest, although I'm a fan of Disney movies, I'm not really a fan of the Disneyland theme park itself since it's more for children, and I like Universal Studios a whole lot better because of the rides as well.

But of course, there will always be a child in me (Most of the time actually). I wanted to experience Disneyland again, so we decided to go there on a Sunday. You might think we're pretty crazy going on one of the busiest days for the theme park; we'll definitely spend the whole day just lining up. Surprisingly, it was actually the opposite! We never spent more than 10 minutes lining up for a ride. We actually finished early, just in time to wait for the night parade and fireworks.

Hong Kong pt. i

Right now, I'm sure you already know that I love to travel so I'm really excited to share my adventures and misadventures with you!

Last weekend, I went to Hong Kong with my officemate, Cherish. We've been planning to go to Hong Kong for months now, so one random morning, she messages me at 2am to check out Cebu Pacific's sale for roundtrip tickets to Hong Kong. Luckily, we were able to get ours for only 2,400 pesos! Not bad, eh? The deal was so good that my other two friends, Yana and Joshua booked as well during that same weekend.

Cherish and I were so excited to travel because one, it would be her first time in Hong Kong, and mine as well (...ish, since I just had a 1-day layover there before), two, because we're both workaholics so we really needed a break that time, and three, we both love to eat!

B&B: Burgers and Brewskies

Sunday, July 5, 2015

Hello, I'm back... again teehee! Can't believe my last post was during New Year's, and it's already the 2nd half of the year! So much has happened, but rather than blogging about that, I'll just post about food hihi Sounds good? Anyway, I normally wouldn't blog if I didn't feel like it, but I really do miss writing here *ugly cry* It's really funny because I don't blog regularly (Obviously...), but I've been getting messages from friends and strangers, asking me to blog about a certain restaurant or event. It feels good though that people actually read my blog, let alone know that I own one lol

Anyway, moving on to the food part. I was contacted by my cousin's friend, Aldous, who asked me to attend a food tasting blogger event at Burgers and Brewskies in Estancia, Capitol Commons. I've actually tried this burger joint at their first branch in Burgos Circle, BGC sometime last year. I had their Call the Nurse burger, and I honestly thought it was just okay. I was quite disappointed during my first time there so I really wanted to give B&B another try.

Traffic was really terrible so by the time my cousin, Issa and I got there, we were already starving! I like the ambiance of this branch better than the one in Burgos Circle. It's definitely a cool place to hang out with your officemates if you just want to drink and chill after a long day at work. I especially love the "Blah Blah Blah Drink!!" lettering on the wall!

Eurotrip 2014

Thursday, January 1, 2015

First off... a happy, happy New Year to you all! Instead of the lengthy, day-by-day travel posts, I decided to blog about my European vacation, in a somewhat "off the beaten path" kind of way.

Last October, my family and I went on a two week vacation to Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich and Dusseldorf. Since I was making our itinerary, I wanted half of the places we were going to be visiting to be "touristy" and the other half, to be quite unusual and unique. Of course, I had to research first, and I discovered this awesome site called Atlas Obscura. What I liked about the site is that it suggests refreshing places for you to check out in a certain town, city, or country. If you're looking for something different to explore, you should definitely bookmark Atlas Obscura for your next trip!
