Zürich in 48 hours

Since Zürich was only a 3,5-hour train ride away from Innsbruck, I decided to go there one December weekend. Every single person I've met, regardless of nationality, has told me that Switzerland is very expensive - Probably twice what I was spending in Innsbruck. Yet, this did not hinder me from visiting Switzerland's largest city. I left Innsbruck around 7pm on a Friday night, and got to Zürich around 10:30pm, thanks to our good friends over at OBB!

Tip #1: Take a train to reduce costs. Make sure to purchase discounted or "Sparschiene" tickets, which are perfect for budget travelers.

48 hours was quite short, but I managed to do everything I wanted to.

Game of Thrones: Dubrovnik, Croatia

During my 4-month stay in Innsbruck, Austria, I promised myself that every month, I would travel to at least one country that I've never been to before. There are too many places on my bucketlist, but being a huge Game of Thrones fan, I really wanted to visit the show locations. Aside from being the most accessible, Dubrovnik (A.K.A. King's Landing) really peaked my interest because of its distinctive old-town charm; the whole city was surrounded by massive stone walls. It was absolutely one of the most beautiful cities I've been to in my life.

I booked myself a round-trip ticket with Croatia Airlines, and even got to explore Zagreb due to an 8-hour layover. The airline tickets, I must admit, were pretty pricey (P 9,000), but Croatia itself was very affordable! I recommend staying at Hostel & Rooms Ana (Old Town) since (1) it's the only hostel in Old Town, and (2) it's near the tourist attractions - Very convenient! I only spent around P 3,800 for four days.

Lucky for me, a lot of the Game of Thrones locations were already close by to the Old Town, and some of them were even found INSIDE. From Old Town, these locations were easily accessible by foot:

Baguio: Save vs. Splurge

Hello, I'm back in the Philippines! I'm finally writing this overdue post, which has been in my drafts folder for around 3 months now (Whoops!). So I apologize in advance if there are changes in what I'm about to write (location, price, etc.).

Moving on, we went to Baguio last November 2015 for my grandmum's birthday. Though considered as the "Summer Capital of the Philippines", I personally rather go there during the 'Ber' months because it tends to get really cold and windy - Just the way I like it. I've only been to Baguio twice before, wherein we already did the usual stuff like pick strawberries and whatnot, so this post is mostly about the things I didn't get to do when I was there: Explore the food and artsy side of the "City of Pines."
